Something to Think About

B and C Lunch are both reading A Matter of Trust. In today's chapter, Darcy's aunt Charlotte wanted to put Darcy's grandmother into a nursing home. Darcy, Jamee, and their mother were upset and refused to agree to Charlotte's suggestion.

This made me think about my own grandparents. Last year my grandfather fell and hurt himself and he had to be in the hospital for a long time. Then he got even sicker and we had to put him in a nursing home for a few months because he was too sick for my grandmother to take care of. It was really hard seeing him there and my grandmother tried to get him home as soon as possible. I understand how Darcy felt because it's hard to see someone you love in a nursing home. At the same time, Charlotte sort of had a point because Jamee and Darcy aren't really getting to enjoy their young and carefree years because they have so many grown-up responsibilities taking care of their grandmother and you only get to be young once!

So...my question is...what do you guys think? Do you think Charlotte was right? How would you feel if you were Darcy? What should the family do?
